About

Being an avid reader since childhood, Haraval Qureshi began writing fiction to connect with his favorite authors and to share with friends and family. He grew up in New Jersey and is currently based in New York City.

Haraval focuses his fiction on emotionally complex stories, including difficult relationships, anxiety, and a lack of purpose. Inspirations include Mohsin Hamid and David Mitchell, among many others.

Searching for Talia is based on the film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, a Bollywood classic from the 1990’s. Like this legendary romance, Searching for Talia is a combination of cheesy humor, enticing drama, and an over-the-top conclusion. It is a plot-driven romance primarily set in New Jersey and Vermont that hopes to bring out Haraval’s favorite themes of Bollywood films.

EZDay was inspired by Haraval’s first impressions of New York City, as well as his time as an EMT. The novel is full of dialogue reminiscent of Pulp Fiction, strange interactions, a gritty landscape, and explorations into the protagonist’s declining psyche. EZDay is a character-driven novel for readers who enjoy literary fiction.
